Cat Despira accuses myself and others falsely of condoning rape and lewd acts on woman slander and libel easy she deleted this off her fb wall

Cat DeSpira 4 hours ago Yesterday I posted my concern over a podcast being promoted on a gaming site. That podcast was pulled by the gaming site after they realized what it's content may be. I commend the website for their professionalism and courtesy to the gaming community to not provide it a platform. Nonetheless, the podcast aired last night as planned from a radio/blog show, and through the night I prepared a transcript of the 120 minute "hatecast" used to denigrate, insult and harass not only myself, but all women who game professionally or who are engaged in the industry -many of them for upwards of 30 years and who sit at the head of some of the most prominent gaming companies in the world. I will be making the transcript available to key media people to illustrate a point and the very reason No Princess in The Castle needs to be made. Some highlights from last night's painful spectacle: Host Intro: “So…we’re here to talk about feminism –which obviously is a problem not only in society but also in gaming- …so tell me what you think and we’ll go from there.” 4:15: GUEST “About gaming: Well, I don’t think women should do public gaming. When I was kid, we used to play Atari and things like that, in 1980s; we used to play at home with siblings. And that’s fine, playing with your friends. But going out into the public domain for serious gaming... I just don’t think women should do it, to be honest with you.” 10:05: Host: "You have these women who came into gaming scene after The King of Kong (2007), they don’t belong here. They are newer gamers, they claim they are ‘somebody’. Their game is publicity and some of them have never played a fucking game in their life. And they claim to be a gamer. And they are asking for $60,000 on a stupid kickstarter which is a bunch of bullshit; and they have no place (right) to ask for money…” 12:33 Guest: "To be honest I think men are to blame in a way because you’ve allowed it to happen (sic. allowed women to enter gaming) I’m sorry to say, but you have. You’ve allowed it to happen and to reach this stage. And women who ride motor bikes are the same thing. It’s stupid. Over here we call them “slappers”. It’s just a step down from being a whore, basically. (host and guest laugh) One step away from being a total whore." (transcript just gets even worse from here...) Share 6 people like this. I don't care if a woman just picked up a game for the first time yesterday and she decided she wants to play it in public. She has the same right to do so as the broseph from down the road especially if she has the chops. 3 hours ago · 3 Heather Wensler Men haven't "allowed" women to do anything. Every woman in this community had earned her place herself. She's clawed her way in despite these male barriers that have been erected. Moreover, men have never "allowed" me to do anything. I do what I want, men be damned, and that's the way most women work. This is disgusting. 3 hours ago · 1 Daniel R Pizana A good illustrative point of how stupid people can be if left unchecked and raised with no manners or respect for other people. It is pretty pitiful, I would apologize for them but, I don't apologize for the actions of others. All I can do is shake my head and giggle a bit while I think about how lonely these dudes will be in their lives. 3 hours ago · 1 Cat DeSpira You have not seen/read anything yet. I will not release the people's names. They will get no publicity from me. Transcript and Audio. What you will hear will floor you. One of the guests is a woman. 3 hours ago · Edited Dan Tearle My mum wiped the floor with all the blokes on Hang On back in the 80s. Yeah, my mum. This is crap because it made her cool, not hated. Clearly intended to antagonise sane people everywhere else. Women have ALWAYS played games and always should have. 3 hours ago · 2 Ian Yandman Hook Its weirder that they get together to have this discussion. 3 hours ago · 1 Ian Yandman Hook Dan your mum has no place in public playing games 3 hours ago · 2 Heather Wensler Internalized misogyny is a very real and very scary thing. 3 hours ago · 3 Daniel R Pizana So is misandry.... and it goes back and forth, a lot of it is because someone is treated badly by the opposite sex and so they take it out on all of them instead of just hating the person that wronged them 3 hours ago Cat DeSpira They did this to attack me, the kickstarter and No Princess In the Castle...and the women involved in the project. It was a direct attack. It was the ugliest, most painful thing I ever had to force myself to listen to. Heart-breaking, really. But they will not win. Not ever. 3 hours ago · 3 Dan Tearle It's pathetic, really. 3 hours ago · 1 Daniel R Pizana I wouldn't let it break your heart, that would mean you actually give two shits about their opinion. Let them talk shit all they want, the only ones that would agree with them are other idiots. Sit back and let them make an ass out of themselves. Don't let it get to you where they can see the pain it causes. 3 hours ago · 1 Cat DeSpira There are parts, as many will see, that actually frightened me. Made me fear for my safety. 3 hours ago Heather Wensler The thing about misandry is that it can't be internalized because there isn't a global system of oppression. Don't get me wrong, I"m all about nobody being an asshole to anyone. Basic human decency is a must in all cases. But in misandry vs misogyny, one threatens feelings and the other threatens the actual safety and wellbeing of human beings on a global scale. 3 hours ago · Edited · 1 Daniel R Pizana They are both hate Heather, and like all hate it can lead to dangerous situations if not deadly. Its no different then the hate the KKK and many other groups embrace. But I digress, Cat DeSpira exploit the shit out of them, do not show fear or pain, because that will make them believe they have won and they will go down saying "At least I made you scared, at least I gave you pain". 3 hours ago · 1 Cat DeSpira My bro 3 hours ago · 1 Heather Wensler They are both hate. I never denied that. But the fact of the matter is that one is a global system of oppression that is very very real and the other is a hypothetical system that currently hurts /feelings/. Sure, some women hate men and commit acts based on those things. But as a system? It doesn't exist and it can't exist in a society in with the majority of political power is held by men. Am I excusing women-based hate crimes against men? Absolutely not (but note, these instances are statistically much fewer than the inverse). But comparing misandry and misogyny is actually impossible because misogyny is an currently existing system of oppression and misandry, quite simply, is not. Misandry is by individuals and hurts individuals (and individuals are important and the pain they receive is real and should be dealt with accordingly). Misogyny is by a group and hurts 51% of the population (not that all men are misogynists because that is not the case at all - but way more men are accidentally misogynistic than women accidentally misandrist because our society is set up where men hold the most respect and power, in a general sense). This all aside, in an ideal world things like gender would be moot points and everyone would be evaluated on their individual worth, not snap judgement based on stereotypical prejudices, and I think we can both agree on that. 3 hours ago · 2 Gary M. McTaggart Wow. Ridiculous. 3 hours ago · 1 David Lim My daughter's are going to grow up gaming that's for sure! My daughter already likes games and if she want to go pro one day I will support her 3 hours ago · 3 Dave Vogt Goddamn. The douchebags are on a roll, it seems. 3 hours ago · 1 Daniel R Pizana My point was not to take away from what history has already done, but to illustrate that all hate is capable of the same results. American black slavery is a good example. I stated this in an earlier post but, women and minorities have been treated with oppression since the time of European exploration. Before that, you can find plenty of historical evidence where many native tribes (not just the Americas) were matriarchal. I would also go so far as to say that no race/sex combination is hated more globally, as white males. Funny how things always seem to come around. I would imagine in the near future, white men will be writing posts speaking out against they way they are being oppressed. And yes, we do agree on your last short paragraph Heather. Sorry, Cat DeSpira! This was originally about your experience listening to a couple of dip shits, don;t worry, they will reap what they sow! 3 hours ago Daniel R Pizana There you go David Lim, it's our jobs as parents to sow the right seeds! 3 hours ago · 1 Daniel R Pizana Now, back to the fun homework of quadratic formulas! 3 hours ago · 1 Eric Cummings Cat, I'm sorry you have to deal with these asshats. If this is the way they want to spend their time, their lives will never amount to anything. Sad. Nobody deserves this harassment. 2 hours ago · 1 Victor Sandberg 54 minutes in, the guest compared you to Hitler, and predicted that you would grow old and die alone in a dark room. Castellanos You now what it is, somebody trying to get some atention, "hey look at me, I want to be famous at any cost" that is all. Is a shame that some places in the web alow people to do they "want to be famous for 5 minutes at any cost" thing, I will love to see some of you in a podcast like the one exist in the old TG show, that will be interesting, not the one that Cat mentioned. 2 hours ago · Edited Cat DeSpira Scott Lambert: I have a better idea. 2 hours ago Derek Sorrells Morons... 2 hours ago Josh Jones Yeah I got an idea too, Cat. about an hour ago Daniel R Pizana From the deepest desires often come the deadliest hate. - Socrates about an hour ago Cat DeSpira Wait until you read/hear where they condone rape and agree women do something to deserve it. Gonna love that part. However: The woman on the panel does NOT condone rape. She DOES NOT. The two men do. about an hour ago · Edited Ben Mullen OH. My. God. It is good you made such a transcript. Showing a persons bigotry in their own words is far more powerful than anything else. It affords nowhere to hide. about an hour ago · 3 Ben Mullen I checked for the sake of certainty as it seems likely that this broadcasts source that this might attempt to claim these words are inaccurately transcribed... they are completely accurate and contain virtually all you need to know of the speakers character. 47 minutes ago Derek Sorrells Sad that these people want legitimacy in anyway. 45 minutes ago Alexis Davis-Garriott Lee Cat, you should know by now, women are only allowed to be objectified in video games, not actually play them. This kind of thing is so old and so tired. My first game system was the original Nintendo and I was actually shunned by my FEMALE friends who thought I was some kind of weirdo for wanting to play games rather than play with dolls. My guy friends never had an issue with my love of video games but with this wonderful, magical, ever-connected thing called the Internet, I have seen more frightening examples of the disregard of human decency than I care to remember. The scariest part, to me, is that these idiots are using their actual names and voices and are not hiding behind the typical gamer troll anonymity that is so prevalent in our world. They aren't afraid of the repercussions because they know there aren't any. *hugs* Keep doing what you are doing, if I can be involved in any way to help, I will. #noprincessinthecastle #noIwillNOTmakeYouASandwich 44 minutes ago · 3 Cat DeSpira Alexis XO Thank you so very much. It's the fact they are non-anonymous that unnerves me. It shows a boldness and indicates an unsettling sense of self-righteousness that can often be the precursor to other things. They actually BELIEVE in my "evil"...and that is what scares me. 38 minutes ago · 2
